MillPlus-M

(LE 412)

Programming

• DIN/ISO free or supported entry

• Part programming IPP

Position data
Commanded, actual and distance to go positions for straight lines and arcs in Cartesian
or polar coordinates, positions are absolute, display and entries in mm or inch

Contour approach and departure

• via straight line; tangential or perpendicular

• via rounding radius

• via helices

Tool compensation

Tool radius in the working plane and tool length

Tool table

Tool table for 255 tools

Constant contouring feed

• Relative to the path of the tool centre

• Relative to the tool's cutting edge

3D-machining

• Feed reduction during plunging

• 3-D-Tool compensation through surface normal vectors

• Jerk reduction

 Look Ahead Feed

For feed adaptation, the MillPlus performs a pre-calculation of the geometry (150 blocks). In this way changes in direction are recognized in due time to reduce or increase the feed of the relevant NC-axes.

Free selectable plane

The MillPlus has a special coordinates transformation to control swivel heads and tilting tables. The offset of the swivel axes and the tool length is compensated by the MillPlus.

TCPM

Tool Center Point Management. The offset of the swivel axis is corrected in such a way that the position of the tool tip is kept relative to the contour.

Rotating table machining

• Programming of contours on a cylinder

• Feed in mm/min

Milling/turning applications

• Turning cycles

• Turning axis programmable as a spindle

Free contour programming

Contour programming with graphic support for workpiece drawings not dimensioned for NC (ICP)

EASYoperate

Manual operation

• Set up and preset zero point
• Easy entry and maching of cycles including take over position
Subprogramming Program section repeats, subprograms, program calls
Parallel operation Creating programs with graphic support while another program is being run

Fixed cycles

• Peck drilling, tapping with or without floating tap holder, reaming, boring, hole   patterns, slot milling, rectangular and circular pocket milling, Facing

• Via IPP, special machine tool builder cycles can be incorporated

• Contour pockets - contour parallel - with islands

• Continuous path

• Measuring cycles

Coordinate transformation

• Datum shift, rotation, mirror image

• Scaling factor

Points

• Programming with points from points memory (256)

Programming aids

• Grafic support during programming: DIN/ISO, ICP and IPP

• Extended information via the help-key

• Technology tables: (Feed and speed proposition)

E parameter

Programming with variables

• Mathematical functions: =, +, -, *, sin α, cos α, /

• Logical comparisons: (=, <>, >, >=, <, <=)

• Parentheses

• tan α, arcus sin, arcus cos, arcus tan,

an, en, ln, log, absolute value of a number, constant π, neagation,

truncation of digits in front of or behind the decimal point

OEM cycles With cycle design OEM cycles can be made, including support-graphics, -adresses and -texts

Test graphics

Display modes

Grafic simulation before a program run:

• Plane view

• Projection in 3 planes

• solid module 3-D view

• Magnification of details

Programming graphics

In the Programming and Editing operation mode, the contour of the NC blocks is drawn on screen while they are being entered (2-D pencil trace graphics)

Program run graphics

Synchronous graphic simulation during real time machining

Machining time

Display of the current machining time in the program run modes

Returning to the contour

• Mid-program startup in any block in the program, returning the tool to the calculated nominal position to continue machining.

• Program interrupt, contour departure and reapproach

Datum tables

Datum tables with 99 zero points inclusive text

Pallet management

For easy management of pallets, work pieces and tools for automatic machining of manufacturing jobs, controlled via the PLC
